Mike's Obituary

Sample the O'Roark's Goodtime Gospel Group
Mike had gospel in his soul. He started this group that sang in churches throughout the Midwest.  ORoark and his entourage created a new gospel music comedy scene unlike any other. It’s good, clean fun. No testimonies or sermon - just Christian and appropriate secular songs and a dose of decent humor.

Mike ORoark performed at festivals and fairs througout the United States. He performed with Roy Acuff at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville and shared the stage with Vince Gill, Keith Whitley, Conway Twitty, Alan King, Bill Monroe, Flat and Scruggs, The Oak Ridge Boys and Kenny Rogers while traveling as a full time performer over 30 years.

Then Mike returned to his first love, gospel music. “God gave us the gift of laughter and the band loves nothing better than performing gospel music,” says Mike and the Mike ORoark’s Good Time Gospel Show was born.

The group was comprised of:
~ Mike O’Roark - Lead Vocal, Guitar, Banjo
~ Jim “CJ” Sander - Bass, Vocals
~ Roger Brough - Guitar, Vocals, Mandolin, Harmonica
~ Saundra Brough - Vocals
~ Jennifer OBrien - Vocals and piano (venue dependent)
